Orange Calcite towers in that dreamy sherbet-orange color, banded through with delicate white striping. We love how the banding gives each tower its own personality, some run in tight parallel lines, others have softer cloud-like transitions between the orange and white zones. The geology: Orange Calcite is calcium carbonate (CaCO3), colored by hematite inclusions that give it that warm orange-to-peach tone. It's genuinely UV reactive, some pieces glow red under blacklight, a fun party trick if you have one on hand. Mohs hardness 3, which makes it one of the softer crystals commonly sold, so it needs a bit more care than quartz or agate.

IMPORTANT care for Orange Calcite:
- Very soft, Mohs 3, so it scratches and chips easily. Store separately from harder stones
- Never use water, it can dull the polish and is not safe for a calcium carbonate mineral
- Avoid harsh chemical cleaners entirely
- Keep out of direct sun to protect the vibrant orange color over time
