Mini Garnet Sphere | Gem Grade Almandine Crystal Ball | January Birthstone Red Crystal Sphere

Mini Garnet Sphere | Gem Grade Almandine Crystal Ball | January Birthstone Red Crystal Sphere

Mini Garnet spheres in that classic deep wine-red color with exceptional clarity. We love these because gem-grade means real translucency - hold them up to the light and you can see straight through to that rich crimson interior. The mini sphere shape lets light pass through in beautiful ways the larger pieces don't achieve quite as well.

The geology: Garnet isn't actually one mineral - it's a whole family of related silicate minerals (Almandine, Pyrope, Spessartine, Grossular, Andradite, and Uvarovite) that share a similar crystal structure but different chemistries. The deep red variety most people picture is usually Almandine garnet (iron-aluminum silicate). Garnet has been used in jewelry for over 5,000 years - ancient Egyptians decorated their pharaohs' necks with garnet necklaces, and Romans used it in signet rings.

What you'll get:
- One intuitively chosen mini Garnet sphere
- Gem-grade quality with good translucency
- Polished to a high shine
- Mohs hardness 6.5 to 7.5

In crystal traditions, Garnet is most often associated with the root chakra and is described as a stone of vitality, passion, and life force. It is said to support physical energy, emotional courage, sexual vitality, and grounding. It's the traditional birthstone for January and an anniversary stone for several wedding anniversaries (2nd, 6th, and 19th in some traditions) - making this a thoughtful gift piece.

The mini size is great for crystal grids, sphere collections in graduated sizes, jewelry making, or as small but substantial gift pieces. Pairs beautifully with Carnelian and Black Tourmaline for a root-chakra-focused setup.
